News 12 Long Island is a 24-hour regional NewsChannel reaching more than 800,000 TV homes on Long Island, New York. The channel is the flagship operation of the News 12 Network, which is touted by it's corporate owners as the "1st, largest & most watched regional news network" in the nation. News 12 Long Island was the "1st local 24-hour NewsChannel in the US". The channel launched on December 15, 1986.
